Friend, can I ask you something that comes straight from my heart?
This isn’t about how good you’ve been, how often you attend church, or how put-together your life may look on the outside. It’s about whether you’ve experienced the life-changing gift of salvation that only Jesus offers.
Every single one of us, me included, has fallen short. Sin separates us from God, and Romans 6:23 reminds us that the payment for sin is death, which means eternal separation from Him.
But here is where the most beautiful part of the story begins.
God loved you so deeply that He made a way where there seemed to be no way. He sent His Son, Jesus, to take our place. Jesus lived a perfect, sinless life and willingly gave Himself on the cross for our sins. Romans 5:8 tells us that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. That means He doesn’t wait for us to fix ourselves first; He loves us right where we are.
Jesus shed His blood, died, was buried, and rose again so that we could be forgiven and restored into a relationship with God. Because of His sacrifice, salvation is offered to us as a gift, not something we can earn, but something we receive.
The Bible tells us in Acts 17:30 that God calls us to repent. Repentance simply means having a change of heart and mind, recognizing our sin and turning toward God, believing that Jesus paid the price for us.
That belief is trusting that Jesus took your place, paid your debt, and rose again so you could have eternal life. John 1:12 says that those who receive Him are given the right to become children of God. And Romans 10:13 promises that whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. Whoever means you. Whoever means me. Whoever means anyone willing to come to Him.
If your heart is stirring as you read this, you can talk to God right now. Salvation isn’t about fancy words. It’s simply about surrendering your heart to Him. You might pray something like this:
“Lord, I know that I am a sinner, and I cannot save myself. I believe that Jesus died in my place, rose again, and made a way for me to be forgiven. Today, I place my faith in You. I receive Your grace, I repent and receive Your forgiveness, and Your gift of salvation. Thank You for loving me. Amen.”
The moment you place your faith in Jesus, salvation is not a maybe; it is a promise from God Himself.
And once you begin this journey with Him, He doesn’t leave you to figure it out alone. He walks with you, strengthens you, and helps you grow. Spending time with Him daily through prayer, reading the Bible, and sharing your faith with others helps deepen that relationship. The next step of the journey is to unite with a Bible-believing church and to be baptized. Baptism is a beautiful, public step of obedience that celebrates your new life in Christ.
If I could leave you with one truth, it would be this:
I am a flawed human being who Jesus loved enough to die for… and so are you.
